Mike,

Do you have a new IOP/IOA that could be 'interferring' with the original load source IOA?

You didn't say if this machine is HMC managed (so you have the LS IOA Tagged) or is this a standalone and you have the IOA for the LS in the CEC.

Subject: B20003200

"Good" morning.

I have IBM in my remote data center replacing a card for a fiber attached tape drive. They IPL'd and have been battling a B2003200. After multiple IOP replacements, we are getting ready to replace the IOA, can't remember the RAID card number. Looking at the source code, it says it can't find the load source. I'm assuming that either the IOP or IOA isn't working and it's not really the load source. Am I missing something? The load source should really be in a RAID-5 configuration and unless I have two failed drives, it's not failed, right?

I've requested that he do a slow IPL but for some reason he keeps doing the standard fast one. I would think if the IOP/IOA can't be found (discovered), that the IBM'er would have taken the time for the slower, walking the bas, IPL. Am I missing something? Its been some time since I've had to deal with the hardware side.
