Correction, I originally misquoted our tape library model, it was 3582, not 3583, with LTO 3 full height fiber attached drives that, we were told would not work on Power7 because the library needed to see an IOP, with the IOA behind it.

The 3583 must have been SCSI attach? There are 3583 that are fibre attached that work just fine.
