If you want to see the video I suggest you submit web feedback to get IBM
to fix it. Somewhere on the site is a "Contact" link.
Transformation Services 57xxTS1 is a freebie on 6.1 and 7.1. Don't worry
about people running V5R4 and earlier, support for that dies in September.

Subject: Generating a PDF?
Sent by: midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx
Some years ago, I wrote a set of programs for one of our customers, that
generates a packing slip as a spool file, then ties into a product they
already have (Gumbo Spoolmail) to convert that to a PDF, apply an
overlay, and email it.
I've just been asked to do something similar here. Although I'm not
entirely thrilled at the Gumbo Spoolmail angle: it's not exactly cheap,
even for our processor group (P05), and I recall, the color fidelity of
overlays is not exactly thrilling.
What other solutions are there, these days?
Did I hear something, not too long ago, about PDF generation capability
now being built into the OS?
