Because no PTFs were applied during the disk upgrade (or the previous 2 years for that matter) the customer is very cautious about throwing PTFs at the problem. This is especially true since we cannot specifically identify any PTFs that address the issue.

We do believe however that while disk performance is extremely consistent across all disk units it is an order of magnitude too slow (.02 vs .002 service time) Thus are replacing the RAID card as the next step. They will have the new RAID card tomorrow. Unfortunately because they were super low on disk prior to the upgrade performance data retention was at 1 day so we have no 'before' numbers to compare to.
