Didn't appear as disabled.

Issue is sort of resolved. The i has two networks cards. First is
172.16.20.10. Our network nazi wants to shut that down. The second
is 10.50.1.10. The share I wanted, as a previously mapped drive, was
mapped to the 10 net and showed in net use as Unavailable. Another
share, mapped to 172 showed as disconnected. From a command window, a
DIR of the disconnected share had it working immediately. Not the
unavailable share, though. From START->Run, entering the system name
shows the 10 net folder. But, net use still shows as unavailable.

Other shares, such as dir m: retrun "The system cannot find the path specified".

I think I am done. But, their web site may have grabbed the files and
moved them, so I don't see them. I have asked if they are there.
That, isn't an i issue.

So, for now, I think this is a closed issue. Maybe.

I know I asked this before. I searched the archives. But, this is nuts.

I have two computers, Windows XP and Windows 2000. On both of them,
net use reports all my i shaes as unavailable.

I may be looking in the wrong places with iSeries Navigator. The
places I have checked show servers as started. System is at v5r4.

Is your Netserver ID disabled?

File Systems > File Shares then on the bottom, Manage Netserver Shares.
Once that window comes up, File > Disabled IDs or use the Person icon
with the yellow, triangular caution symbol.
