Perhaps I am having a lapse in memory, but I thought that once a partition is powered off all its processor/memory resources could be brought back to the available pool without having to remove the powered-off partition profile. Is there a way to return this resource to the available pool without 1) deleting the profile, 2) reactivating with new profile config, 3) using DLPAR to strip it down to "bare bones" before the partition is shut off?
