Or, if you're using a program and want to stick with SQL you could use a
cursor. The FETCH would get the rrn (so you could sort by it) but when
you move it to the second file you don't have to output it. Cursor's are
a bit more work and may not be the desired answer for this situation.

When you merge these two files are you trying to get all of table 1's data
then all of table 2's data? Or intersperse them?

If one then the other, then doesn't CPYF respect RRN?
