I see this on Win 7 Pro also, I tried trying to find the issue searching
the archives once but couldn't pin it down.

Subject: Windows 8, Explorer and single IFS files... slow?
Just wondering if anyone else noticed this.
Running Windows 8 and ever since when I try to view or edit a single
file in the IFS using Windows Explorer, it seems to take a 20-30 seconds
to finally start.
Example, right click on an HTML file, edit with dreamweaver or even
Notepad and it takes about 30 seconds.
Now, click on multiple files and it's almost instantaneous.
Copying files doesn't seem to have any difference if it's one or
multiple files. Just when you're using an application to view/edit a
file does it seem to take extra time.
Anyone else notice this? Or any ideas what could cause this? It's quit
annoying. :)
