The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
Absolutely!
Configure TWO VSCSI-Host connections on the Host partition. Configure
Two VSCSI-Guest connections on the target machine. (Be sure to pair them
up. :-) )
Create an additional NWSD on the host but you can't use *AUTO for the
resource name - you'll need to ferret out the resource for the second NWSD.
Be sure that Power Control is *NO on the second one.
Be sure that you restrict ALL tape and DVD on the second one or the
stuff appears twice!!
*I* usually set the second NWSD to be varied on at all times so I can
just ignore it.
Attach new disks to the second NWSD.
In fact IBM encourages you to use a separate NWSD for Tape/Optical than
for disk.
