I second the fact that you can send the BRMS Recovery report and the
tapes it lists
to an outfit like Sungard or IBM for a Disaster Recovery Test,
and they will do the recovery at their site without you. You just dial
into the recovered box.
(The report even has places to insert your own notes or custom program
calls at each point of the restore.)
BRMS also will stop an operator from doing an INZTAP to a tape that is
still active (not yet expired).
Boy is that sweet.
And auditors love it.
