This is a real Dell employee.
IBM should do the same kind of thing to make itself stand out from the rest
of the pack. It wouldn't hurt them to have somebody show up a couple times a
year. Of course, if they eliminated the BP program altogether, they wouldn't
have to share their margins on the hardware and software.
All of those BP's could reallocate their people back to writing usable
application software.

The problem is that people are asking the hardware to be priced like intel
and the software to be priced like Microsoft (or even Linux). That cuts
margins significantly. How often do you have Intel or Microsoft reps stop
by?

How about some real IBM marketing reps actually making visits to customer
sites?

Bosses! Bah humbug.
How do we universally let management and business know that Power Systems
is the best business platform and IBM i is the right choice of OS to run
our old AS/400 programs while moving us into the future?
Maybe a sticker on his monitor? Shall I send another?

Thanks for the stickers, Trevor. Sadly, when I showed one to my boss he
asked, "What is that?"
However, he did let me place one on the window of our computer room.
