The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
Hi Rob, as always...thanks and I was able to gain access via IE after your info.
Thanks, Frank

Subject: Re: QNTC and Domain Shares ?
Try this:
n your PC (or some other PC that is NOT a domain controller) create a
hare. Then see if
RKLNK '/QNTC/thatpc/thatshare' works. What I am finding out is that
SECOFR can see shares on PC's that are not domain controllers but not
hares on PC's that ARE domain controllers. For example, I can access my
c (GDL164) and GDSNT (a popular server here that is not a domain
ontroller) but not GDSDNS nor ARDNT (which are domain controllers). Our
indows guy said he'll open up a ticket with IBM but he has some other
riorities first. I'm ok with that. Getting the electronics set up for
he company Christmas carry-in a few days out takes priority. I really
nly use QSECOFR this way once a quarter.

Me too.
hat's really funny is I can get to it signed on as me. But we have a
ser in our windows domain called QSECOFR with the same password as what's
on the i. QSECOFR gets the error you are getting.
If you figure it out, let me know.

Has anyone had success using QNTC and Domain Shares? (we are at V5R4)
We have an internal domain share \\mydomain.com\iseries\iseriescsv
file:///\\mydomain.com\iseries\iseriescsv> where we drop files from the
Series. This translates into a windows server directory
\myserver\iseries\iseriescsv <file:///\\myserver\iseries\iseriescsv> . My
etwork admin wants use the Windows Domain Share so that target folder can
e moved to anyone of various servers for maintenance or Disaster
ecovery.
hen I try to execute 'WRKLNK '/QNTC/mydomain.com/iseries/iseriescsv' I
et
he error:
ate sent . . . . . . : 12/08/12 Time sent . . . . . . : 08:25:43
essage . . . . : Object not found. Object is
/qntc/mydomain.com/iseries/iseriescsv.
ause . . . . . : Object /qntc/mydomain.com/iseries/iseriescsv, or a
irectory
in the object path, could not be found, or its type cannot be resolved
y
this function.
When I am using Windows Explorer I can find the folder without trouble.
When I use the Windows server name in QNTC it works fine too.
I would like to be able to use the domain share name.
To add a little more information..
When I do WRKLNK '/qntc/mydomain.com' I can get to the server in question
nd I can get to the SERVER shares, but not the DOMAIN shares.
Any help will be appreciated.
