It depends on the amount of memory & CPU on your machine for sure. What I have noticed is it takes a lot of CPU when you startup the partition or start the HTTP Server *ADMIN, but then once started I thought the performance was pretty good. I am usually not around when the partition starts so really a non-issue.

Screen to screen it performed almost as good as a green screen, but green screen was still a little faster. I thought the web based version is certainly quicker than the old client that you loaded on the PC.

What is the performance like? I have tended to steer away from the web based Navigator functions because it seemed so sluggish. Not that the Ops Nav is any speed demon but ...

As a Mac user I would love to have one less Windows based tool to worry about. The new emulator is pretty good and runs well on the Mac - if the browser based Navigator performs that will be great. Then all I have left to get a native version of is RDP!

I'm more excited about the movement of most of the DB/2 functions to
IBM Navigator for i because we are very close to leaving the client
side code behind. The work there is not quite complete but i suspect
it won't be long.

In addition, I am currently part of the beta team on IBM Navigator for i, and If you are currently using this product, you will want to jump on the next HTTP group PTF that comes out around December 15, because this new version is amazing. Really great UI improvements.
