Easiest way to backup and restore keys:
make a new library ex: KEYS
DSPLICKEY prompt and tell it to save to a file KEYS/LICKEYS
save that to a tape/savf/ftp
reinstall the system
and i dont remember the command but GO LICPGM and somewhere there is
the option to input license information you just point it to the file
and it restores everything back.

In regards to v5r4m5, the only thing needed to go from one to the
other is the I_BASE_01 cd. just get the v5r4m5 I_BASE_01 and off you
go, the rest of the media is the same.

Best Regards,

PS: Try to get a twinax console, 800/810 models are a pain to work
with in lan console mode (at least the ones i touched, those were at
v5r2 and didnt have the 65+21 options)

One other thing that V5R4M5 brings to the table, if you get a slightly
newer system (but not too new) V5R4M5 will allow you to do an
unload/reload to that machine and they upgrade the OS. For example, I
upgraded a 270 from V5R4M0 to V5R4M5 and then did an unload/reload to a
Power 6. Then I upgraded that to 6.1 (and later, on and on...).
