Thanks for the help. The solution is as follows:

- If you leave SEQONLY blank, it returns the last RRN in the file
which turns out to be the number of records in the file (reuse deleted
records not in use).

- If you specify SEQONLY(*YES 1), then it returns the RRN of the
read record.
