No, the upgrade to IBM i 7.1 on the target system was the only change.

The other jobs where I found that message (or lack thereof) were not OMS jobs. I see that in Zend Core and Zend Server jobs as well (subsystems ZEND, ZENDSVR, ZMYSQL). I didn't notice any others like that as I browsed through the jobs.

The job with MSGW is a Vision OMS job using JOBD(OMS400/OMS400).

You're definitely right about it not logging, though. I've never seen
that before! Now if I can just figure out *why* it's not logging.

JOBD shows Message logging: Level 4, Severity 0, *NOLIST

One of the others like this has a JOBD showing Level 4, Severity 0,
*SECLVL.

System help shows *JOBD is the default for LOG() on SBMJOB, so that
doesn't sound like my answer.

<snip>
Running jobs that show "No job log information." In WRKJOB option 10,
including one that has MSGW with an error.
</snip>

Perhaps your jobs are using some system default job descriptions that
you've not modified the logging level with the new version of OS?
