You can also use CutePDF (
http://www.cutepdf.com/Products/CutePDF/writer.asp) and once you install it, it will create a printer, like "CutePDF Writer" or something like that. Then, go to the Client Access 5250 Emulation Screen, do FILE > PRINTER SET UP and select the new printer.
Now, do FILE > SAVE and from this point on, every time you do a print screen in this 5250 session, you will be asked to give a file name and it will save the print into a .PDF file.
Just another idea...
Good luck!

Client Access 5250 has two ways of doing a print screen - the icon in upper left is a "windows" print key and does not generate a spooled file on the system, it is strictly a client function. The selections under "File" let you control that.
the HostPrn on the Popup Keypad ("Actions") generates a spooled file which could be converted.

Had experience from system i navigator (7.1), expand basic operations then
printer outputs, right click on a spool file then you have option to convert
to PDF.
But for this you need to add a printer which supports pdf conversions or
always you can use a java/RPG based program.

Hi,
Any way of getting a pdf file instead of printing?
Thanks
