Why are you copying Content Manager docs to a remote site ?
trading partner, customer, redundancy, etc ?
Depending on the specifics and if they are 1-way transfers I would probably use FTP.
Netbios and NFS traffic are not very efficient over WAN connectivity in my opinion.

subject: transfer hundreds of images daily to a win server via nfs
Is NFS suitable for batch copying many files to a drive on a Win system across wan (many states away),
or is it more for accessing files on other servers and use ftp for batch transfers like this?
Hundreds of files in the 1-20 meg range size. ?These are .tif and .pdf from Content Manager, stored in ifs.
