I run RDi on a Lenovo T410 laptop with Intel i5, 4GB ram, Win 7 just fine.

I strongly recommend two monitors.

My main monitor is 22 inch with resolution @ 1680 x 1050, which I like.

My other monitor is an old 17 inch which is ok for email, web search, manuals,
but, again, a second 19-22 inch wide screen would be help when I need to work
with the wide Excel workbooks I get from the people I work with.

I think you can easily cost-justify the monitors with a little paper and pencil work.

Subject: PC Tech Specs for RDi

Hi folks -

I've googled around, and couldn't find what I was looking for. Thought it was a midrange thread a while back, but couldn't find it.

What are your thoughts for a new PC configuration for RDi? This would be for RPG/CL/DDS programmers, with an eventual move toward things like PHP for some of the developers. A robust machine that's 'beefy'
enough to perform normal office functions as well as editing and testing programs. Monitor ideas would be good too.

Any advice appreciated. Thanks!
