You are right! But the weirdness is that the Control Panel Applet says "IBM i Access for Windows (32bit)" which would lead one to believe that it was the 32 bit version one needed to download. But, it turns out the the 64 bit download was needed even though it all installs in the "C:\Program Files (x86)\IBM\Client Access" folder (WHAT????)

The 64bit install is what works so I can only assume that it means a 64 bit *installer* that installs a 32bit version......too late in the day to ponder why.....
