I changed the rpg program to put the date field out with the format xx/xx/xxxx
and praise be, cpytoimpf didn't screw with it and Excel opened it without
screwing with it.

The field shows up in Excel as "general" data type but at
least it made it.....

I guess the "/" must make some difference...that is not clear to me yet.
