Working with a TAPMLBxx instead of individual tape drives has some other advantages--
You allocate a drive for yourself, but your tape operation uses the MLB name.
If your "MLB" has more than 1 drive, and the drive you selected is busy, it will switch things internally and use the drive that's free!
