I second that, we used Scott Klement's service program JDBCR4 using jTDS
JDBC Driver (open source Type 4/Pure Java driver).
Works like charm, The only thing you want to ensure is to do the loading
test, depends on how much load of data you need to interface.

Subject: Iseries to MS-SQL server

Is it possible to retrieve or update an SQL server database directly from
the iseries via RPG or COBOL?

Not file transfer but record retrieval & updates.

Is anyone familiar with any utilities or products or APIs that would help
with this?

Thanks!
