Hello all,

I am looking for input regarding the following issu that we have:

We are implementing SAP on system I at our company. The development and DR systems are in one data center and the production system is an other.

The 2 data center are 100 miles apart and are link with a 300Mb WAN link.

The link usage i low (bellow 20%) so badwith is not an issue.

The development and production partitions exchange some data (regarding SAP transport mostly) thru the QFileSvr.400

The performance over the WAN is very bad. We did setup the same connection over a LAN (between the development machine and our DR machine) and then the performance was good.

As stated earlier, bandwith is not an issue.

It seems that when routing is required (layer 3), the performance degrades a lot.

Any idea on the cause of this or to where to look for additional info?

Any help is apreciated.

Thanks
