Has anyone implemented the V7.1 SystemMirror product yet?
Andres Colodrero has been using and promoting Power HA with IBM i, and fomenting discussion on Linkedin. I don't know if he subscribes to this list, though.
I'm thinking about moving ... to create an HA image of my production
applications at a DR Site.
Regarding semantics, what do you mean by "image of my production applications"? SystemMirror creates a mirror image of an "independent auxiliary storage pool", which is essentially disk-level mirroring on a remote server.
If you're interested in a generalized discussion about DR/HA, there is an active one right now in the IBM i Professional's group on Linkedin. Some of the respondents are from IBM, and others are experts who worked for Vision Solutions. You could post a question there. I've asked a number of questions and received responses.
Have you already purchased SystemMirror? If so, I'd think that IBM would support you through the setup. Or, are you just looking for education? I read an article on System i Network recently that was informative.
