The other use for copy-append I used to use was to copy consecutive screens - used to be helpful for source code. Not needed so much now.

But maybe you want to document multiple application screens - you could use copy-append to get them all into one copy, then paste into whatever.

Again, maybe not the best example - best I can do on short notice - I usually just use the feature when I need it, can't always remember why later!
