This morning, while putting in a whole box of fluorescent tubes (we've
got so many burned out ones, it's going to take another box!), I rather
belatedly discovered that old Jupiter was showing a warning light and a
918BB981 again. Evidently stalled when IPLing on its weekly exercise
cycle last Friday evening.
Pulled out the plug, plugged it back in, and hit the big white button.
Still 918BB981.
After lunch, I pulled out the plug, and laboriously counted out 30
seconds (kind of annoying when you're on your hands and knees, in the
dark, under the bench in the Cage), and plugged the power back in.
This time, I switched to manual, so that I could look at it in DST.
DST showed all drives responding, so I cautiously exited and initiated a
supervised IPL. I just signed on, and as soon as I send this, I'm going
to see if it's gotten far enough along to be waiting for me to do
something . . . or if it's gone 918BB981 yet again.
