Hi there!
Looking at some of the information about creating CD-ROM media for installation, etc. Yes, in this case specifically CD-ROM and not DVD. (older hardware in question)
I've read some interesting guides such as this one:
http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/html/as400/v4r5/ic2979/info/rzai4.pdf that say you can do a SAVSYS and save the
SLIC and stuff and get it to a CD-ROM, but you have to do some nasty stuff like set up the pointer in CD-ROM block 15 to point to the QCDIML file. Neat, but all the docs
I can find aren't exactly geared toward bootable SLIC CD's, though they all mention it's possible.
So, my question is, has anyone managed to get an IPL-able CD-ROM image built? If so, how? How exactly does one get the block 15 stuff set up? Or does that come
automatically in the QDSETMAP file?
Many thanks in advance!!
