Honestly, the way I stopped it on one machine was to rename CRTDEVDSP.
Because, apparently, when you run CRTDEVDSP it ignores those 'auto'
values. System i Access for Windows does that.
Doing that caused major issues. But that was when we had those crappy
twinax workstations for a system console which always kept failing. The
boss replaced one with a different model. That caused the system to try a
CRTDEVDSP after deleting the original and it couldn't. I had to use a
RMTCMD to rename the command back and was forbidden to rename it again.
