When you do the retrieve system value of QTIMZON do you see the same stuff
on DSPSYSVAL QTIMZON
Time zone . . . . . . : QN0500EST3 Name
Associated settings:
Offset . . . . . : -04:00
Full name . . . : Eastern Daylight Time
Abbreviated name : EDT

or do you only see QN0500EST3?
Because WRKTIMZON QN0500EST3 shows:

Time ------------------Standard Time-
Offset Zone Abbr Full
-05:00 > QN0500EST3 EST Eastern Standard Time

If you start telling google calendars the 'wrong' time just to get by
their error, what will that show on the calendar?
