Hi Frank,

This is part of the share folder definition, as I recall...

IBM Navigator
File Systems > File Shares

Find the share that needs to support text conversion, right click, Properties...
Second tab is labeled Text Conversion, and allows you to define file extensions that will be automatically converted from EBCDIC to ASCII within this share...

HTH,
-Eric

Hmm, in iNavigator, in the share definition I think there's a property page to
efine file extensions that need to be translated to ascii. Perhaps you can add
mbr to the list...

ubject: Library Mapping drive in WIN7 - Page Code translation.
Hi guys,
I've mapped a pf-src object from a library (/qsys.lib/library.lib/qrpglesrc.file)
o a Hard Drive using NetServer from IBM i Access, but seems like the EBCDIC
ranslation is not happening to ASCII. Do you know where to change that setting?
My goal is to be able to view a source member using a PC editor on Win7. I know
hat I can copy the source file to a IFS folder and let the copy to do the Code
age translation, but I'd like to avoid a copy into a IFS folder if possible.
Thanks.
