Hi Guy,

Looks like you have a CCSID issue of some sort.

You say that you're typing "ls -l | grep -c ^-", but the system
apparently thinks you're typing "ls -l ] grep -c ¬-", which doesn't mean
the same thing.

Please check your system and job values for CCSID and LANGID.
