Not sure if this helps:
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=nas17d5a24100f2671648625756a006353a1
When we were getting that error it was when we we using the Windows domain
account (which had a matching user id and password) with Netserver.
IBM claimed it was not /their/ problem, that it was most likely a Windows
policy causing the problem. We ended up creating a local account on the
server which had a user id and password which matched the iSeries user id
and password in order to solve the problem...

I am trying to access a directory on a server on our network via our
iseries. The link is /qntc/netapp03/as400tapes$
I am getting error CPDB053. The details of the error include:
An error has been detected while Network Server file system was
exchanging security information with a Network Server. The error class
was 1, and the error code was 86.
I am trying to determine what Error Class 1, Error Code 86 means. I am
guessing it may be that my iseries password and my password on the
network server are not the same.
Any advice or information is appreciated.
Thanks & Have a Blessed Day.
