Having hard damaged the *JRN, any negative effects requiring recovery
actions by a service provider would probably only be performed under a
special bid\contract for service, rather than under a normal\standard
service contract.... So the last comment, the "otherwise", probably
describes the best _first_ approach, if doing only what is required
outside of the /service tools/ to enable deleting the journal is
unreasonable [i.e. for whatever unstated reason(s) why a pwrdwn\IPL is
alluded as required for the given scenario].
