Are you seeing any JDBC related messages in the job log? I've seen an external Java process close ALL open files in a job regardless of what else is running. It was akin to someone clearing library QTEMP rather than cleaning up only their objects.

As I mentioned in my thread on activation groups, there is evidence that somehow, the session, connection, and/or statement handles are being invalidated outside of calls to SQLCLI.

Does anybody know what could cause this, or how to detect it before it blows up in the user's face?
