File size difference when sending through exchange -- MIDRANGE-L

Has anyone on the list ever had a scenario like this - we upload a file to the exchange server using FTP. The file then goes from the exchange server to a client site. When the file reaches the clients box, the size has changed.

Why would this be and how do I correct it?
