On connecting directly from Excel to a PF; would this be via ODBC?

Why have the macro create a CSV file on IFS for processing ?

Why not write directly to a PF ? Maybe then attach a trigger to the PF ?

I am looking for a way to know when a file is ready to be uploaded to the
iSeries. What is a good way to signal to the iSeries that a file is set to
be uploaded from the IFS?

We have an Excel file that has a macro that extracts data to a .CSV file.
When the .csv file has been extracted I would like to kick off an iSeries
process to upload the file.

Thanks in advance.

Paul
