On our current 525 on a V6R1 partition, we have Service Director 5.2
running. It was there to support the Blades, but we also found a useful
monitor that we could set to monitor Batch Jobs but only trigger a
notification if any Inquiry message sat unanswered for more than 5 minutes.
We are getting ready to migrate to new hardware and will also be taking
that partition to V7R1. That means the Service Director will no longer run
directly on IBM i, we can only run an agent. Does anyone know or have the
Batch Job monitor running on Service Director 6.1? I have found how to
monitor specific message queues but would really like to keep the batch
Queue monitor in place.
