I know you have resolved this by getting a diff format, but since mid 90's I've run some free utilities by Bruce Guthrie
http://users.erols.com/waynesof/bruce.htm
(some of this originally written for US Commerce Dept).
Among many other file formats, dBase to ascii-delimited or fixed length text.
Never a hiccup. Allows you to build a simple dos batch file for automated processing.
Also - I avoid Client Access uploads whenever possible - use ftp and either
cpyfrmstmf or cpyfrmimpf or Scott Klements RPGLE to read/write ifs files.

Thanks everyone for your responses.
I guess I was not clear. I want to load data I am receiving from an
external entity as a dbase table onto the i.
Simple answer - I went back to the entity and requested a csv.

Thanks,
John

What do you want the file to look like on the I ?

What do mean by "converting" ?

The option does not exist in the iSeries Access choices.

Is there an easy way to do this?

I am receiving a set of data from a client in .dbf format each month
and would like to minimize the conversions if possible.
