We setup HA using clustering and geographic mirroring a long time ago,
before the power ha product was around.
For us it took a long time to setup because the "setup" portion did not
exist. Once it was set up it required almost zero maintenance. For
several years, we actually did a "lights out" switch to the secondary box
on saturday morning and back to the primary box every saturday afternoon
using a jobscde - no user intervention required. Some licensing agreements
are preventing us from doing that now.
