I too played with them some and it worked quite well. A bit different
way of thinking but the examples I found got me going.

Looking for a recommendation for tools to read and write xml in batch
processes. This is an RPGLE shop with very little advanced ile. No java
(yet). This will be ftp files between trading partners, all batch
processed. Do not have the IBM XML product, or RDI dev tools, and
purchasing tools is generally a "no". (not trying to be negative, but this
is the local conditions.) V6R1.
We've handcoded some XML, but the volume requires better tools.
