The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
It's always a big performance killer to convert your file dates. You'd be
better served to do the following:
workDate=currentdate - 1 year
workDateNbr = workDate converted
where cpaddt>workDateNbr
select crappydate,char(crappydate),
substr(char(crappydate),1,4) concat '-' concat
substr(char(crappydate),5,2) concat '-' concat
substr(char(crappydate),7,2),
date(substr(char(crappydate),1,4) concat '-' concat
substr(char(crappydate),5,2) concat '-' concat
substr(char(crappydate),7,2))
from qtemp/mikewills
where date(substr(char(crappydate),1,4) concat '-' concat
substr(char(crappydate),5,2) concat '-' concat
substr(char(crappydate),7,2)) = current date
....+....1....+....2....+....3....+....4....+....5....
CRAPPYDATE CHAR ( CRAPPYDATE ) CONCAT DATE
20,111,026 20111026 2011-10-26 10/26/11
******** End of data ********
And, with a one row test file, this works also
select crappydate,char(crappydate),
substr(char(crappydate),1,4) concat '-' concat
substr(char(crappydate),5,2) concat '-' concat
substr(char(crappydate),7,2),
date(substr(char(crappydate),1,4) concat '-' concat
substr(char(crappydate),5,2) concat '-' concat
substr(char(crappydate),7,2))
from qtemp/mikewills
where date(substr(char(crappydate),1,4) concat '-' concat
substr(char(crappydate),5,2) concat '-' concat
substr(char(crappydate),7,2)) = current date
