I have some code that runs file xfers via sFTP under PASE.

The code needs to be converted to FTP because of issues with the sFTP server we are talking to and because we now have Point to point VPN.

All of the scripts and ftp cmds already exist on the IFS for sFTP.

I was thinking that if I could simply change sFTP to FTP it would be most easy.

What is the effort to load/install bash and some FTP client?

If a reasonable effort then what ftp client?

I can always just move the FTP back to the iSeries.

Hi Jerry,

It's possible -- but I find myself really puzzled as to why you'd want
to do it?

You'd need to load/install bash into PASE. Then load/install some FTP
software.

I want to run ftp from a bash script in the PASE or QSH environment.

I don't see the FTP client command on the PASE/QSH side of the world.

Can this be done?

Jerry
