I'm afraid the OP is asking for the impossible...opening a hole is
opening a hole..plain and simple.

I suppose you could only allow certain IP's in, but that's probably
not feasible given that the users would probably have dynamic IPs.

All you should need to do is open port 23 to the IBM i.

Although I would recommend you *NOT* open port 23 but use a VPN instead.
