The maximum number of objects in a QDLS Folder is approx (a little less
than) 64k (it's a bit higher than 65000 objects)

the maximum size of a single object in QDLS is approx 4 GB.

When you exceed one of these maximums, an error is sent to the
application that tried to exceed them. Having the OS send a message to
QSYSOPR would not be advisable -- programs may want to handle the error
programatically (start a new file when it's full, or delete old stuff to
make more room, etc.)

But, the APPLICATION might want to send a message to QSYSOPR. That
would be something done by the application programmer. I'd talk to
whomever wrote/published the software to see if it'll send a message, or
how it'll react.
