The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

You would not need a new subsystem, just a job queue in an existing
one. Interesting thought. Have each job enque an entry in a keyed data
queue with the job ID info. The job that waits on the queue pulls the
queue entry, then checks the job queue with an API to see if all the
jobs are done.
