I haven't looked at MMAIL, but can it do electronic bursting, and send
regional sales managers their reports based on detecting a new sales region
at the top of a page on the report?

"basic" ESEND is a part of SEQUEL, the full fledged version is a purchased
package that has yearly maintenance...just one of a myriad reason we are
trying to eliminate SEQUEL & ESEND...good products don't get me wrong
*but* i can do everything they do using freeware like MMAIL (and of course
some programming which i'd have to do anyway)

I use mmail, from Giovanni Peroti. Works great, easy to use, and free.
I don't know if they paid for that program, but unless it has some
technical advantage, it may be a better bussiness decicion to "shelf" it
and use the free program.

The subject line says it all. We have a new customer who wants to send
email programmatically, and that's what they already have.
