Ask me tomorrow and I can probably tell you how long a BPCS month end runs
on our system.

Here's an interesting idea...

We once bought a machine for development (?30S?). Didn't uncase it when
one of the divisions needed an upgrade asap (I forget why - 20 years ago).
We rushed over that machine. That one ran so fast it blew them away.
Kept resubmitting jobs because they couldn't find the still running job
under WRKACTJOB. (It had already completed.) When "their" machine came
in we offered to swap it out. Counter offer was a check followed by
"Don't disrupt our business!".

Probably hard to find a loaner like that though to really prove it. I
don't suppose talking to your local user group, BP, IBM CE, etc to find
someone who has a new machine coming in and has the stones to let you
borrow it would do any good eh?
