but people likely spend 10x as much time reading from a computer screen than reading from paper. My guess is magazine publishers would get more readership if their stuff was accessible in small chunks, linked to from message boards like this one.

It is probably also most important that the advertiser gets the page views that they want. An ad in a magazine cant be clicked on like an online ad can.

I'm getting a lot of mags electronically now but they're the same
electronically as if I had them in hard copy.  Some of the electronic

reader

technology (especially being used in newspapers!) is really decent.
