I debugged it again. It doesn't look as bad as it did in previous
releases. I seem to recall a lot more opening/closing of cursors or some
such thing. And, even better than the other poster stated was the:
63 rows fetched from cursor SQLCURSOR000000003.

Now if they could get over changing all the CCSID rules and various other
technical errata on every release (which causes existing code to break) it
might get better.

I haven't done time trials in awhile but writing your own using techniques
learned from Scott Klement use to blow the doors off the performance of
this.
